Well worth it for out-of-towners to get a nice slice of Berlin. Several, varied clubs/bars. Always felt safe. Tour guide knew all the good places and spoke perfect English. Got to meet people from England, France, and America (I'm an American) and hit up Berlin. Well worth the ticket -- this is practically a public service for travelers.

I've just come back from a short city tour of Europe. I arrived in Berlin, having come from Paris. From the glitz and glamour of Paris, Berlin seemed a little dark and sombre and the wet summer did not help. But I took a walking tour with David from Insider Tour which changed my view completely. Berlin is not so beautiful but it is truly fantastic. The four hour tour just flew by. It was intriguing to walk along the streets and try to understand what had gone before. David's knowledge and anecdoctal stories were great. I cannot recommend this tour enough!

What an amazing, interesting tour, and what a fascinating, engaging guide we had in Derek - I had some reservations about bringing teenagers to such an oppressive place but Derek was so informative, so immersed in his subject that he communicated a difficult period in history with authority and passion. Derek is an expert who made this tour come alive - it is one thing to read about the concentration camps, but another thing entirely to have such an authoity as Derek bring events to life, he was truly wonderful, I cannot imagine a better tour guide - thank you, Derek,for a truly unforgettable experience.

Our guide David (an absolute charmer from Sweden) was witty, engaging, informative and endlessly interesting, what a fantastic tour of Berlin he gave us all - we had two teenagers with us, and it is a measure of David's impressive knowledge coupled with warm, genuine interpersonal skills and memorable anecdotes that they were as enthusiastic about the tour as we were - the rain poured at intervals but did anyone care? Of course not, David's love of Berlin is infectious and I cannot recommend him or the Insider Tours highly enough - Berlin was an infinitely richer experience as a result, miss it at your peril!
