"We just got back from our holidays and were fortunate enough to have a walking tour in Berlin with Barnaby, just wanted you to know, thanks to him, it was a great tour, he is very knowlegeble, funny, entertaining, he is the best guide we ever had. ( and it's not his mum sending you this e-mail. just wanted to let you know. yours, Sima Feldman"
"April 13 was wet and windy. For 4+ hours Barnaby took us around the city at a reasonably rapid clip. He was excellent. Much too good a sense of humor to be a Political Science Major. Learned much. Rain did not deter the knowledge or the humor or anecdotes. A fine intro to Berlin for us who have traveled virtually everywhere else in Europe. By the way, I am 79 and wife is 77. Well done. Dr. Bob Leach "
"I did the the famous walk with Asaf, 3rd Reich tour with Derek, and the Sachsenhausen tour with Jessy. They where all very informative, easy to follow and sometimes funny. Of course depending on the location. "
"It was a pretty long 4+ hour tour with a lot of information, history and facts made really attention-grabbing, funny and digestible with Derek’s passion for what he does and a great sense of humor! Extremely informative and insightful tour, definitely a must for first-timers in Berlin! Keep up the good work, Derek! "
"I`ve been to Berlin twice and Insider Tours have been the highlight on both occasions. The most recent one I was slightly worried about, being that it lasted for 4 hours. It actually lasted 4,5 hours, but I didn´t mind. Time flew! Michael was so full of knownledge and passion he managed to talk non stop for the entire walk, possibly without breathing. I dare anyone with a soft spot for history not to be fascinated. I would also like to recommend The Famous Insiders Walk and Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp: Memorial Tour. Don´t forget to bring a bottle of water."
"Fantastic tour - I often take a walking tour as the first activity in a new city to get orientated and to prioritise the rest of the visit. Mike's tour was truly the best "Intro Tour" I've ever taken - both comprehensive and informative, but the best part was Mike's passion, enthusiasm and knowledge which brought Berlin to life for me. Added to which, he made everybody in the group feel included and he handled every question thrown at him with professional aplomb. Thank you, Mike, you made the Berlin trip a memorable hit and if I ever return, I'll be sure to go along for another one (or 2) or your tours "
"The best guided tour ever! The weather was bad, cold and rainy, but we hardly noticed because we were having such a good time learning about the city. Amazing what you can see and learn in 4 hours! The pace is fast. Barnaby is knowledgeable, funny and sensitive to the impact german history may have to the people (in the tour). Highly recommended."
"The best guided excursion I've ever had in my life, and that "ganz ernst" - and I've had many! Apart from him being an inborn- speaker with a perfectly clear voice heard from anywhere, and friendly attitude raising immediate sympathy, Jamie's performance reveals virtually years of work invested into putting his version of tour together. In-depth coverage of the issues, and that with a humor and in such an engaging way that almost 5 hours of tour passed just unnoticed. And one more thing - immediate and brilliant answers to any additional questions give an invaluable feeling of having a real personal tour from a friend. Hey Jamie please keep up what you're doing - you're doing it really great! Wish you all the best for the future and especially enough time in your busy schedule to realize your plans for putting the new tours together - I'll certainly try to find a way to one of them if I'm ever in Berlin again. "
"A wonderful experience. Jamie was one of the most entertaining and enthusiastic guides I have ever encountered. That he really loves and enjoys his job as a guide shows in every aspect during the tour. My knowledge about Berlin is so much more enriched now that I can confidently participate in any discussion regarding the city with great confidence. Thank you Jamie!"
"Our tour guide, Michael, was very knowledgeable of the history of Berlin through WWII period and beyond, including the Soviet occupation of East Berlin. He knew all the ins and outs of the city and kept the tour very interesting, fast-paced, and fun given some of the somber areas covered on the tour such as the war memorials and Nazi regime."
