"I would just like to say that the Insider Walk with Brian is the best guided tour i have even been on. Never have i seen such passion and enthusiasm shown for a capital and it's history. I can only recommend the tours to others who are thinking of traveling to Berlin. Best regards, The danish guy, who didn't say he was from Denmark - Jakob. "
"Hi there! I must begin by saying that I am usually in the habit of writing a letter if I feel the service I have received has been lacking or people have been rude. However, on this occasion I feel it important to commend you on the service you offer to the public. I travelled to Berlin last week to scout out locations for possible secondary school tours for the next academic year. As a history teacher in Ireland teaching the senior cycle we cover a lot of second world war history. Though I have spoken about it for years I felt it was time to take advantage of my very long holidays to see for myself the setting for so much of this history. On Tuesday the 22nd of July my sister and I took the tour to Sachsenhausen. Firstly, the English lady who greeted us at the Zoo station and escorted us to meet our guide was so friendly and courteous. Our guide Derek was truly an inspiration. As you can imagine visiting a former concentration camp is a highly emotional experience and though I walked around with a perpetual lump in my throat I found Derek's tours was so balanced, honest and engaging. He embroidered personal anecdotes of those who had suffered there along with historical fact to such great effect that I did not feel the time slip by. He is of course a wealth of information and I learnt so much from him and I thought I knew a lot going in there. After the tour he talked to everyone to ensure they knew where they were going and recommended places to eat out and to drink and was open to questions too. Unfortunately my sister and I had other commitments and therefore I didn't get to rack his brain for recommendations on the best books to read on WW2. Speaking of which he should seriously consider writing the much needed book in English on Sachsenhausen itself. Anyway I just want to commend your organisation, to thank the lovely English lady and especially Derek for such a memorable tour. It was the highlight of the trip (if such a thing could be a highlight). I do hope that I will be able to share this experience with my students in the near future, to see history rather than just read about it. Many thanks Cara Ronan"
"We have just returned from a lightning two-week tour of Germany, the highlight of which was, by far-and-away, the day spent with Brian on the walking tour. We say 'day' for good reason as it was gone midnight before we said goodbye! His absolute enthusiasm and passion for Berlin was infectious with our emotions being taken from one extreme to the other. Overall, an unforgettable experience. With best regards, Mark & Sue. P.S. Brian, if the offer of tickets for your next production in North Carolina is still open then we may take you up on it."
"As my son and his family live in Berlin I often visit so in July 2007 I decided to do the Sachsenhausen Tour. Derek was the guide and it was a excellent professional tour. Yesterday I did The Third Reich Tour with Kenny as the guide who was also excellent and professional. Just like to say what a great company and everyone visiting Berlin should take a tour whatever their age and circumstances. Thanks."
"Huge Thank you to Brian for making the best possible introduction to Berlin. His love for the city and it's people, passionate ability of storytelling, sense of humor and knowledge of the history are absolutely superb. If he doesn't make you fall in love with Berlin - no one else will. This is the best tour of any city we have ever been on. Amazing, Thank you!"
"Myself and my girlfirend were very hesitant about beginning the walking tour with such a large group of US high schoolers, but that hesitation was gone within minutes as Brian's enthusiastic and jovial introduction got everyone in the mood for the experience to come. And what an experience. Brian is far and away the best tour guide I've seen, really made our Berlin trip. Thanks so so much!"
"Just wanted to thank Brian for a wonderful tour last Friday -- as a thank you, I went to that Huguenots Museum that you've been wanting to know about, and it's a nice little place, but you covered everything in the tour, so good job there! If you want to see some old Huguenot relics, then feel free, but as far as the history goes, you covered it. Thanks again, and sorry about the Brandenburg Gate!"
"On Saturday, June 28th, we had the privilege to see Berlin thru the eyes of our amazing tour guide, Brian. Upon our arrival to Berlin from Prague and Munich, Berlin seemed to lack the beauty and charm of the cities we had previously visited. However, we were wrong. In spite of rainy and cold weather, our walking tour of Berlin with Brian made the city come alive. His enthusiasm and passion for Berlin was outstanding. He has a true gift to be able to share as he did. Not only that, but he was very funny--never a dull moment!! We found your tour pamphlet in our hotel, and we truly chose the right company. We've been blessed to have had 4 trips to Europe, and he is the best tour guide we've ever had. Steve & Marcia Priske Richardson, Texas USA"
"Wot an amazing tour. Having experienced these tours a few years ago with Kenny McLeod and knowing how great these guides are, i couldn't resist doing the same one again. This time it was with Brian. The usual high standard of service was provided as these guys really know their stuff. I had a thoroughly enjoyable day - You brought the city's history to life Brian. We'll never forget you Brian NOR 9 NOVEMBER. Remember to check the farm at Millisle. - I would recommend this tour to everyone - DO NOT GO TO BERLIN WITHOUT DOING ONE OF THESE TOURS. - BEST WISHES AND THANKS FOR EVERYTHING - THE BELFAST CROWD"
"Hi all, I want to say that this is the most brilliant tour I have ever been on ! And this is mostly owed to our amazing guide, Brian. He was so dedicated and so "there" that you felt it all happening. I think we were about 25 people on the tour, in all age ranges and EVERYBODY got through their entire emotion range. We smiled, laughed and eventually we also cried, when he told the story of how east and west were united when the wall fell. Amazing ! So thanks to insider tours and special thanks to Brian. This was great Best regards Peter (the lone dane:))"
