Tour: The Famous Insider Walk
Guide: Mike
Date: 24.01.09

"When I was last in Berlin 23 yrs ago I wandered around enjoying the sights, but i knew little of their history. Mike put that right. I revisited those same sites and sights and saw them in a new light. Mike was knowledgable, enthusiastic and very helpful. He was spot on with his advice on where to go and saved us a lot of wasted time. First class service!"

"Hi there, We recently arranged a walking tour with Insider Tours for our tour group. On the 24th December we took part in a walking tour led by Nigel Dunkley. I am writing to let you know that we thought Nigel was absolutely superb! It was miserable weather, raining and wet but we kept the entire group with us for the whole 3 hours purely and simply because Nigel was so captivating, interesting, knowledgeable and quite frankly, hilarious ;-) His passion for Berlin and its history was obvious throughout the tour, and quite contagious! Just wanted to express our thanks – if you could please pass this onto Nigel that would be fantastic. We will most definitely be using you for our future tours to Berlin (and would like to request Nigel as our guide!) Thanks again. Kind regards, Eris"

Tour: Third Reich Berlin
Guide: Kenny
Date: 25.12.08

"Dear Sir: I wish to express my gratitude to your tour guide Kenny for a truly great experience during a Third Reich Berlin tour on 16 Dec 08. Kenny really opened my eyes to what happened in Germany during the National Socialist period through his detailed presentations and insightful explanations. You may be sure that I will recommend Insider Tours to my friends and colleagues who visit Berlin in the future. Please give my regards to Kenny. He made me quite eager to view the new Tom Cruise picture, “Valkyrie” to see how close the picture comes to the reality that Kenny explained in such precise detail. And if I’m in Berlin again, I’ll be sure to sign up for another Insider Tour with Kenny. A great experience! Warmest Regards, Lawrence G. Karch Colonel U.S. Marine Corps (ret)"

"I've to say, i was truly amazed by how he gave the tour. The way he spoke of it, it was as though he was one of them and seriously made my mother and i wonder how old he is. My mother thought that he was at least 70 going on 80 but his looks doesnt really look that old. This shows how vastly knowledgeable he is and he is that good. With his added jokes and personal touch in his tour, it made history that was supposed to be boring, interesting once again. Frankly speaking, i've read of this guy, when i first knew that he was our guide i was like,"oh crap, hes one of the best in this field, with so many knowledge and prestige under his belt, hes probably proud and boring." I was so wrong. I truly enjoyed his tour and no doubt another who had agrees with me."

"Me, my brother and our father went on the Third Reich Tour with Nigel. The tour is a must for everyone interested in WW2. Even people with good knowledge about the subject will find this tour facinating and interesting. Nigel really takes you back to Berlin during the time of the Third Reich. In the Bendler Block you almost felt like an eye witness to that fateful evening of July 20th, 1944. I have a degree in comparative politics and history, but still learned a lot on this tour. Nigels way of communicate got the whole group`s attention, and made every member feel welcome. We even had a nice lunch break at a christmas market in Potsdamer Platz. Me and my travel company will definitely try another Insider tour next time in Berlin."

"Hi from Canada! Just wanted to express my gratitude to your guide, Nigel, who gave a very impressive and informative tour for us! He had everything going against him (dear lord, the train was late!!) but kept us all entertained and in bright spirits with his riveting tales and historical facts all told in the most entertaining dialogue that had us all eager for more! And that was just on the way there! The tour was a history lesson in itself, and Nigel's passion and knowledge for history becomes clearly evident as he describes the gruesome details, paired with bouts of comic relief. Even though the tour was significantly later than scheduled due to uncontrolled circumstances, NO ONE cared, we enjoyed the tour so much! the best part was even the cameraderi that was created amongst the group, which catalyzed by Nigel with how he drew everyone together! The Beer and the Currywurst (along with the proper "Prosting" lesson) was absolutely the cherry on top! All in all, we had a fabulous day, which I am sure is hard to say after having visited something as gruesome as a concentration camp! His unique ability to be informative and be humerous his history made this a tour that I will never forget! Best wishes from Victoria (the orange-haired horse girl) from Canada! That was by far the best tour I have ever been on!"
