Date: 15.03.09

"We want to thank Insider Tours and Derek who was our guide in English on Sun 15th. He was absolutely great, giving a terrific overview of Berlin and its history. It was a most miserable day and yet he was very enthusiastic and inspiring despite the biting cold wind and the damp atmosphere. Please pass on our appreciation and our thanks to Derek. Thanks Eileen and Fiona"

"Hi, I would like to say a big Thank You to Mike your Leader who took 6 of us on the Berlin Walking Tour last Monday (9th March 09). His enthusiasm and information gave us such a good over-view of Berlin, and when we saw him on Tuesday he gave us some more information as we set off to see the Courtyards and Jewish Synagogue on our own. (Do let him know we went to the Olympic Stadium on Thursday before returning to Luton on Easyjet!!). Your walking tour around Berlin rates as the best in all the Cities I have visited. Long may you and your staff continue. Best Wishes, Carole and Keith Chamberlain, Diana Tilley, Doreen Hill, Jenny and Chris Webb"

"We've had a terrific walking tour with Mike. He combined all his knowledge with funny stories and took us to the most important part of the tour: The Embassy of New Zealand. Hilarious! Mike, thx a lot, you made the tour so much more interesting for us!!!"

"As ex military Nigels insight into bombing strategy was fantastic to witness. He described in detail the bombing of Berlin. His role as historical consultant on Valkyrie meant he could provide not only a fascinating narrative of the plot against Hitler but also about how that event was portrayed in film. We ended the tour with a once again well delivered account of the Cold War. This tour was well worth booking and I would highly recommend it to anyone making a trip to the German capital."

"This is the second year that I have brought a group of students on this tour and the second time we had Nigel as our guide. He is extremely well informed, articulate, entertaining and friendly to a fault. His ability to communicate with young people on their level is to be admired. I would highly recommend this tour and give Nigel a 10/10.l"

"I have just returned to Brighton in the UK after having spent a week in Berlin. We (The Holy Trinity C of E School - Crawley) booked a tour for the first day of our trip. As usual it was superb. For the second year my teaching group was with Mike. We had many positive pieces of feedback. This is from one of the students. She writes: 'Walking tour was really interesting. Mike was an absolute mine of information and he gave me an understanding of the rest of the week.' I would be really grateful if you could pass this feedback to Mike and with it my personal thanks for the way in which he made Berlin 'come alive' to both myself and the students. It was a really good to meet him again, benefit from his extensive knowledge and be enthused by his passion for your wonderful city."

Tour: Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp
Guide: Derek
Date: 17.02.2009

"I have just returned from my first visit to Berlin, a visit which was made by the two tours that I undertook with your company. I wanted to offer my thanks to yourselves and the very able guides who undertook the tours. The Famous Insider Walk Tour (Tuesday 17 Feb) was the perfect introduction to Berlin and the guide was knowledgeable and humorous. The highlight of the visit was the tour to Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp (Thursday 19 Feb). Our Canadian guide Derrick was terrific. His knowledge of and his commitment to telling the story of the camp system and Sachsenahusen in particular was clear and infectious. For me, as someone who could have found myself a prisoner at the camp for at least two reasons, Derrick really brought to life the evilness of the regime and the horrors of life in the camp. My reflections of the visit are still dominating my mind. He is a tremendous asset to your company. Once again thank you for making my visit to Berlin one of the most rewarding I have made. I will certainly recommend you to friends when they are visiting Berlin."

Even found out where Hitler had his last cappuccino!"
