Tour: The Famous Insider Walk
Guide: Kenny
Date: 29 Sep 09

"We did this tour not expecting too much but were totally blown away by the knowledge that Kenny had. He answered every question posed to him without hesitation. I will definately reccomend this tour company to friends and family. Kenny is publishing a book at the moment on his knowledge which I will buy, once published. Brilliant tour, thanks Hazel and Eddie. "

Tour: Cold War Berlin
Guide: Nigel
Date: June 2009

"I did 2 tours: the general tour of Berlin, and the Cold War Tour. Neil gave the first tour and was brilliant. As the tour was about to end he asked us if we wanted extra for free, I think, because he was enjoying it so much! He knew a great deal about German history and mixed pre-20th century with the infamous 20th century (Nazism & Berlin Wall) extremely well. I was struck by his compassion regarding these subjects and learnt a lot. For the Cold War tour, I was most fortunate to score Nigel, a former intelligence agent for the allies during the Berlin Wall days. As a historian, he really knew his history, and his personal experience meant he had plenty of anecdotes for us too. Nigel’s extremely personable and chucks in lots of jokes and observations about the city he’s lived in for the last 20 odd years. On top of that, he offered the tour group his contact details so we could ask him questions in the future. The tours are very inexpensive. I’ve toured all over Eastern Europe and even there haven’t found cheaper – most equivalent tours seem to cost 3 times the price. "

Tour: Third Reich Berlin
Guide: Mike
Date: 25.09.09

"I did the tour on the last day of a 6 day trip to Berlin and regretted not taking it earlier! Berlin is a treasure trove to history buffs and if you go on one of these walks it is likely that you are one. And if you are one, it is crucial that your curiosity is satisfied by your guide. This is why I would like to recommend this tour. Mike, who took my tour was enthusiastic and had a deep knowledge about Third Reich and contemporary German history. The overall tone and presentation is accessible and comprehensive to any one interested. He is aware of the many film references that most of us would base our perceptions on and likewise able to tackle the more esoteric questions. I regretted not being able to follow up on the many things I found because of my time constraints- thus have resolved to return one day!"

Tour: Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp
Guide: Nigel
Date: 15.09.09

"We were so fortunate to have Nigel as our tour guide for this tour. He was by far the most knowledgeable guide and shared experiences and stories that one would never find in any book. His passion and his love for the history along with his personal knowledge and experience made him the best possible guide in my estimation. Our tour was a day tour from 10 until 4 and we were still with him at 6:30 in the evening as he was finishing with us. He went far beyond the call of duty, is such a great historian, and I personally feel he was the highlight of our trip to Berlin. So much, that in fact we found out he was doing the Cold War tour two days later and we also joined him in that tour. This tour was every bit as good as the first one. A second great day with Nigel - what a bonus! I highly recommend any tour with Nigel - this knowledgeable historian who definately captivates his audience throughout the entire tour - is a must! With thanks, Laura. "

Tour: Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp
Guide: Mike
Date: 24 Sep 200

"Because of the excellence of David on my tour of 23 Sep, I signed up for the Sachsenhausen tour for the next day (I had planned to visit the site, and I was confident Insider Tours would add to the experience). Mike of Insider Tours helped to make the visit of the odious camp bearable. Mike added both (1) political and social context and (2) sensitivity to a mind-numbing topic. This was my first visit to such a place. Thank you, Insider Tours (Thanks, Mike!) for being there with me. Regards, Don "

Tour: Third Reich Berlin
Guide: Kenny
Date: 27.09.09

"This is a highly recommended tour, and the peak of it was in the Wehrmacht headquarters where they plotted against Hitler. Kenny portrayed the story of it in a dramatic and detailed way. The whole tour was wonderful, also to those of us who know history. "

Tour: Cold War Berlin
Guide: Nigel
Date: 17/09/09

"Definitely one of the best tours I've ever been on. Both me and my friend were impressed by Nigel who mixed intriguing stories about the Cold War, witty remarks about Berlin then and now and a treasure chest of historical knowledge. Fantastic. As others have said, Nigel is a legend!"

Tour: Third Reich Berlin

"Like the Famous Insider Walk, this tour was also fantastic. There was very little overlap in the contents covered in both tours which I really like. Mike was a very knowledgeable and likeable guide."

Tour: Third Reich Berlin
Guide: Kenny
Date: September

"This was a fabulous tour--our guide Kenny was so informative and interesting that I could have listened to him and followed him around all day and night. After Berlin I visited Munich and Nuremberg and no other guide ever came close to the experience with Kenny. I left Germany thinking that this tour was one of the very best parts of the trip. Thank you Kenny!"
