Very fun, informative and insightful walk. Highlight of my trip to Berlin. In 4 hours I've seen so much of the city, and learnt so much about its history. Our tourguide was David, excellent guide, lots of tips, stories, knowledge and enthousiasm about the city. Very funny as well. Absolutely would recommend this tour to anyone. Next time, I'll definitely do one of the other tours.
Absolutely brilliant! My friend and I had done the famous walk tour last which was absolutely brilliant and a highlight of our trip making us completely fall in love with the city. Deciding to come back this year, I couldn't miss an opportunity to do another so did the Cold War tour and it did not dissapoint. We were lucky enough to get Barnaby again who is by far the best guide you could hope for, funny, enthusiastic and clearly incredibly knowledgeable. It is one thing to see these places yourself but insider tours really brings the history to life, totally awesome, I cannot recommend highly enough. I can't wait for a chance to go back and do the Third Reich tour. Thank you so much!

David is an enthusiastic, knowledgable guide. He was unfailingly polite informative and patient. His enthusiasm is infectious and his travel tips were invaluable. We would definitely recommend this tour and this guide.
Most amazing tour I've been on. Michael was an amazing guide who definitely knew his stuff, and his sense of humour definitely added something to the tour. I have recommended the Insider Tour to all my friends, even if they haven't said anything about going to Berlin... just because I was so amazed by how great the tour was. Thumbs up, definitely. Excellent tour, and top notch tour guide. Easily worth the money. Can't say enough good things, really!
The tour I did about the Third Reich Berlin is most probably the best guided tour I ever did in my life. Mike, the guide, is extremely knowledgeable and full of energy; he provided more than five hours of uninterrupted interesting information. He even walks backwards not to lose the contact with the group and keeps talking and telling us about the history of the Third Reich. Highly recommendable.
Michael, you have shared so much depth of knowledge and passion and very much engaging in your presentation. I absolutely enjoyed the opportunities that you patiently answered my questions in between pitstops. Thank you for the walk despite the rain throughout, it was totally worth braving the rain and cold.
We toured Berlin with five Insider Tours on our vacation. Friday was out last day and I was excited to hear entirely new information during our Third Reich Tour from all the others. We visited the office of Von Stauffenberg and then walked down the very steps he would have on his way to the execution of the members on the of the Third Reich that tried to kill Adolph Hitler on July 20, 1944. We stood on the EXACT spot where the shooting took place! It is detailed with a memory wreath and detailed brass sign. We ended our five day of tours visiting the area where World War Two had come to an end with the ending of the Third Reich at the Bunker. It was a complete chilling effect while Mike explained May 30th, 1945. Mike made sure that every question was answered and left everyone with a detailed story of the Berlin for the citizens that were trapped during those last days of War! I personally thank Mike for the information I will remember for the rest of my life! You just cannot experience this tour through a book or television program. SUPERB work Mike, Best Wishes to you and your family. Edward R.

I just want to say that this tour of the Third Reich, Berlin, was the making of my holiday. Barnaby was informative, witty, passionate and most of all ' clearly in love with this period in history'.
I'll recommend it to all my friends.
Many thanks

Our tour with Maria was amazing! We did not know too much about the Cold War years when we visited Berlin, but now we are familiar with the hardships that the German people had to deal with due to the Russians for nearly 40 years! Our group had someone in a wheelchair, but Maria made sure the lifts were located at every train station and bus stop so everyone could do the tour together and not get lost. We must have toured all over Berlin for an exciting day. We also had a well deserved break to taste the food and drink at a local resturant for 15 minutes. We had seen so much of the history including an unexploded bomb underneath a church! The tour ended up at an area that you could touch the wall and see where friends had met each other once again, after many years of seperation due to the wall. Maria was charming and informative all day long, together with a great knowledge of the period of time the wall existed. I understand Maria is a "newcomer" to Insider Tours and I hope she will be there for many years for thousands of tourists to understand the German Culture in the years AFTER World War 2. I have a new respect for the hardships, survivors of the war faced until only 20 years ago! AWESOME job Maria! Silvia & Edward
